Designed by teens, the Children’s Aid Next Generation Center supports young people (ages 14-24) as they prepare for and transition into adulthood. The service delivery and program approach specifically supports the needs of youth in and aging out of foster care, as well as youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Program participants also have access to Children’s Aid medical and dental services located at the clinic across the street.
The site includes a professional kitchen that is home to a culinary arts education program while serving as the home base for Next Generation Catering, a thriving business staffed by current and former program participants. Young people can also use music production equipment or simply gather in casual settings throughout the facility.
