The Frederick Douglass Community Center provides essential services to children, youth, and families on the Upper West Side, particularly the residents of the neighboring Frederick Douglass Houses. The Frederick Douglass Community Center provides year-round services that are safe and supportive of children’s holistic development. We offer programming based on principles that are derived from decades of experience and supported by strong evidence about what works best in the after-school, youth development, and education fields. The center includes a gymnasium, an outdoor playground, and class rooms for program services. The Frederick Douglass Community Center is proud to be part of the Boys & Girls Club of America.
