New York, NY—The New York Community Trust recently announced that Children’s Aid is one of three winners of its prestigious Nonprofit Excellence Awards.
“This is an incredible recognition for our staff and our supporters who together make possible all the success we have ensuring that children, youth, and families have every opportunity to learn, grow, and lead strong, independent lives,” said Phoebe C. Boyer, president and CEO. “We certainly want to thank the New York City Trust for considering Children’s Aid. And we want to congratulate Brooklyn Community Services and GMHC, our fellow winners and two organizations who continue to have a transformative impact on our city.”
Children’s Aid will join Brooklyn Community Services and GMHC on December 1 for the awards ceremony and best practices workshop.
Children’s Aid is an independent, nonprofit organization established to serve the children of New York City. Our mission is to help children in poverty succeed and thrive. We do this by providing comprehensive supports to children and their families in targeted high-needs New York City neighborhoods. Founded in 1853, it is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative non-sectarian agencies, serving New York’s neediest children. Services are provided in community schools, neighborhood centers, health clinics and camps.
