New York, NY / February 26, 2025 – Children’s Aid is proud to announce a $250,000 grant from Visa Foundation to support its efforts in breaking the cycle of childhood poverty in New York City. This funding will strengthen programs that address pressing issues facing children, youth, and families, including the youth mental health crisis, rising chronic absenteeism, and increased food insecurity.
The grant is part of the Visa Foundation Gives program, an ongoing initiative launched in 2022 that focuses on addressing social challenges in communities where Visa has a presence. In addition to financial support, Children’s Aid will have the opportunity to engage directly with Visa employees through volunteer initiatives, further advancing its mission and deepening its impact.
"This generous grant from Visa Foundation will allow us to expand our reach and provide vital services to children and families facing unprecedented challenges," said Phoebe C. Boyer, President and CEO of Children’s Aid. "With Visa Foundation’s support, we are not only addressing immediate needs but also building stronger, more resilient communities where every young person has the opportunity to thrive."
Visa and Visa Foundation are committed to fostering inclusive economies where individuals, businesses, and communities can succeed.
“Visa Foundation is honored to support Children's Aid in their mission to address critical social challenges in New York City. By working together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families who need it most,” said Graham Macmillan, President, Visa Foundation.
