The Innovations Exchange contains more than 525 searchable Innovation Profiles, 1565 searchable Quality Tools, and numerous resources to support the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s mission – to improve the safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency and equity of care – with a particular emphasis on reducing the disparities in health care and health among racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
Founded in 1984, The Children’s Aid Society-Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program is a youth development model that operates in low-income communities in New York City and has been replicated in communities across the country. Its holistic approach empowers youth, helps them develop personal goals and the desire for a productive future, and develops their sexual literacy as well as educates them about the consequences of sexual activity.
The Children’s Aid Society is an independent, not-for-profit organization established to serve the children of New York City. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support for children in need, from birth to young adulthood, and for their families, to fill the gaps between what children have and what they need to thrive. Founded in 1853, it is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative non-sectarian agencies, serving New York’s neediest children. Services are provided in community schools, neighborhood centers, health clinics and camps.
