Youth Division Part-time Virtual Job Fair

We know what it takes to ensure children grow up strong and healthy, and ready to thrive in school and life: excellent education and health care, social-emotional support, and strong, stable families.

Children’s Aid’s Youth Division seeks talented individuals for many part-time roles in our schools and community centers. Current Positions

Below you will find many of the part-time positions available in Children’s Aid Youth Programs this fall. This list is not exhaustive. You will learn about other available roles at the Job Fair. Required hours will vary and can include afternoons, evenings and weekends. Click the links below to view the Job Descriptions and apply now for these critical roles:

  • General Facilitator/Group Leader – Multiple Roles Available, Harlem, Bronx, and Washington Heights  
    The facilitator is responsible for the supervision and care of (up to) 20 children, which comprise a group or club. A facilitator is a leader who commits to teaching by modeling and demonstrating characteristics that participants can learn from. The facilitator will work to support the Program Director by supporting afterschool staff with lesson planning, lesson implementation, curriculum design and training during and for the afterschool staff.
  • Youth Advocate Counselor -- Multiple Roles Available, Bronx and Washington Heights
    Under the general supervision of Community School Director, the Youth Advocate Counselor will assist Guidance counselors, Student Resource Coordinators and Social Workers to develop exemplary educational structures to encourage meaningful engagement in schools for students and families. Youth Advocate Counselors will assist in wrap around services for all students assigned to them. Youth Advocate Counselors will support students by designing individualized interventions, which address personal, academic and social and emotional difficulties that impede full participation in school day and after-school programming. High School Diploma or equivalent required; College preferred.

  • Activity Specialists – Multiple Roles Available, Harlem, Bronx, and Washington Heights  
    Under the direction of the Program Director or Site Director, the Activity Specialist is responsible for planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate and purposeful activities that help Young People build new skills. The Activity Specialist engages young people in one or more disciplines or content-specific program activities or subjects such as Arts, Dance, STEM, Drama, Sports, or other areas, that enriches the experiences of children in the Children’s Aid’s After-School and Evening Programs.  
  • Education Coordinator, Washington Heights
    The Education Coordinator will help ensure the successful implementation of the after-school curricula by offering group leaders and teachers ongoing support, guidance and training. The Education Coordinator develops and delivers training for group leaders and teachers, facilitates regular curriculum meetings, and conducts observations in classrooms to provide feedback and strengthen instruction. Bachelors in Education required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Office Manager, Washington Heights
    Under the supervision of the Community School Director, the Office Manager is responsible for supporting the Community School’s core team. The Office Manager works closely with the Community School core team to oversee key components of programs, related to all fiscal matters for the program site. The Office Manager provides administrative support and manages additional projects and duties as indicated by the Community School Director for the success of the school and its programs. Associates Degree and Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) required.
  • Data Specialist, Washington Heights
    The Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring all youth information enrolled in COMPASS/SONYC programs is entered daily, timely, accurately and reviewed on a frequency determined by the Community School Director. The Data Clerk will assist the Community School team by providing weekly and monthly updates of enrollment and rate of participant (ROP) status for all COMPASS/SONYC programs. High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Administrative Assistant, Staten Island
    The Part-time Administrative Assistant will work in the Community Center Monday through Friday from 2pm to 6pm, and additional hours may be available as needed. The center provides After School and Summer Camp programs on Staten Island.  The Administrative Assistant would primarily be responsible for answering phone calls, organizing program applications, and data entry related to center programs.  Some college credits required.
